What is a .pnm file?
Portable Anymap is an image format developed by Jef Poskanzer (Netpbm), first released in 1988. It is usually created by Netpbm tool pipelines.
An umbrella extension for PBM, PGM and PPM. The two-byte magic number at the start, not the extension, decides which one it really is.

Is it safe to open a .pnm file online?
