What is a .jks file?
Java KeyStore is a certificate and key format developed by Sun Microsystems / Oracle, first released in 1997. It is usually created by Java keytool, Android signing (older).
Java's proprietary keystore. Since Java 9 the default is PKCS#12 and keytool can migrate old JKS files.

Is it safe to open a .jks file online?
