What is a .p7s file?
PKCS#7 Detached Signature is a certificate and key format developed by RSA Laboratories / IETF, first released in 1998. It is usually created by Signed emails (smime.p7s).
The 'smime.p7s' attachment on signed emails is the sender's certificate chain and signature, not a document. The certificates are listed here.
