Dependency Lock File is a source code format developed by Package managers (npm, Yarn, Cargo, Composer…). It is usually created by yarn.lock, Cargo.lock, composer.lock, Pipfile.lock.
Pins the exact version of every dependency so installs are reproducible. Generated, not written by hand.

Is it safe to open a .lock file online?

OpenAnyFile reads it with your browser's File API and decodes it on your own device, so there is no copy anywhere else.
